I'm writing a virtual filesystem with FUSE to allow you to mount a directory of mp3s/oggs/flacs and browse it via the id3 tags as entries/directories instead. This will allow you to edit tags by changing the filenames and search the database as well as live updating the iriver/ipod database... Is the plan.
